Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a Software Engineer II/III to support radar software in a real-time combat systems environment in Moorestown, NJ. You will design, develop, test, and optimize mission-critical radar software in modern C++ on Linux, contributing across multi-processor architectures.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years (II) or 5+ years (III) of C++ experience, strong OO design, and a background in real-time systems, performance tuning, and software verification.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years for Software Engineer II or 5+ for III
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17+) on Linux
• Strong OO design and software engineering fundamentals
• Experience in Linux development environments
• Proficient with Git/GitLab
• Experience with debugging, profiling, and performance optimization
• Experience with real-time or near real-time software
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required
• Experience with Python and/or MATLAB for algorithms

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain real-time radar software in C++
• Develop software for distributed and multi-processor environments
• Implement and optimize radar control, tracking, sensor processing algorithms
• Analyze performance to improve throughput and latency
• Support GPU acceleration via CUDA where applicable
• Create automated unit, integration, and regression tests
• Troubleshoot defects and perform root-cause analysis
• Collaborate with systems engineers, test teams, and leadership
• Document software designs, interfaces, tests, and reports
• Participate in Agile sprint planning and reviews
• Support software integration, verification, and customer testing
