Job summary

Apex TK is seeking a Radar Requirements Analyst in Huntsville, AL. You will collaborate with DoD and industry teams to manage ground sensor requirements, capturing specifications in DOORS and CAMEO, and ensuring alignment with government standards.

You will maintain system models, support technical discussions, and provide direction for TRRs, TIMs, and design reviews, leveraging MBSE and radar expertise in a fast-paced, defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance or higher.
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Master's Degree may be preferred at this level.
• 8+ years of related professional experience with MBSE environments and SysML (CAMEO).
• Experience with DOORS and/or DXL/Macro scripting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DoD, industry and other teams to manage requirements for ground sensor systems.
• Capture technical specifications in DOORS and/or CAMEO as required by engineers.
• Compare prime item specs with government specs and coordinate resolution with stakeholders.
• Maintain databases and system models per Missile Defense Agency practices.
• Develop briefings, point papers, and trace reports for item development specs.
• Coordinate support from personnel to manage databases and models.
• Evolve requirement management practices to changing information capabilities.
• Capture processes and techniques in checklists to enable cross-team support.
• Provide technical direction to TRRs, TIMs, and design reviews (PDR, CDR, FDR).

General Overview

APEX TK is looking for an amazing Radar Requirements Analyst to join our team! In this role, the ideal candidate will possess experience writing in DXL for IBM Rational DOORS, familiarity with model-based-systems-engineering and associated systems like CAMEO, and familiarity with Radar systems for missile warning and missile defense.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborate with multiple DoD, Industry, and 4th estate teams to manage requirements for multiple ground sensor systems in development by the Missile Defense Agency
• Capture technical specifications for future development initiatives in DOORS and/or CAMEO, as required by program engineers
• Compare prime item development specifications to government specifications, identify deficiencies, and coordinate resolution with stakeholders
• Maintain databases and system models in accordance with Missile Defense Agency best practices as defined by the Systems Engineer and Transformation Task Force
• Support technical discussions and interchanges to vector development of requirements and ensure compliance with lead engineer vision and intent
• Develop briefings, point papers, and trace reports for prime item development specification and relevant system model deliveries
• Coordinate support from supporting personnel as needed, provide concise instructions and expectations to assist in managing databases and models
• Evolve current requirement management practices in response to changing information system capabilities
• Capture processes, standards, and techniques in checklists to enable support and cross-team function as needed
• Provide technical direction to Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), Design Reviews (PDR, CDR, FDR)

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Secret clearance or higher
• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or related field, or equivalent work experience that meets guidelines established for job
• Master's Degree or equivalent, may be preferred at this level
• 8+ years of related professional experienceKnowledge and application of (or interest in) Model Based System Engineering environments and SysML experience (CAMEO)
• Experience with DOORS and/or DXL/Macro scripting

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree and 20+ years working on a missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project or radar system or a Master's degree and 12+ years working on a missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project or radar system
• Experience with radar operation or radar acquisition
• Knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles
• Review of verification results of Prime Item Development Specifications
• Works independently, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to self-manage and initiate within a team structure
• Ability to work across organizational boundaries
