KBR's Missile, Aviation, and Ground Systems (MAGS) division seeks a Radar Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support radar design, analysis, and spectrum-related tasks for US government programs. You will help develop concepts, assess new technologies, and resolve issues in design, development, and operations.
The role requires an MS in Electrical Engineering with radar emphasis and an active SECRET clearance (TOP SECRET desired).

The Radar Engineer is responsible to support radar system design and analysis and be familiar with radar capabilities such as array signal and data processing, clutter mitigation, electronic protection, search/track performance, classification and identification, etc. This candidate would use technical expertise on Radar to develop concepts and designs, evaluate feasibility of new technologies, as well as troubleshoot and resolve design, development, and operations issues. Assist the USG customer in Radar Spectrum analysis, Radio Frequency Authorization (RFA) and AIMS IFF Certification. Additional responsibilities include supporting the government development of the appropriate application process (DD 1494) for spectrum approval, supporting the development of applications for AIMS certification process for IFF components, and system integration with appropriate C2 systems. Successful applicant should have a background in radar concept, design, spectrum, and signal analysis. An understanding of Radar Spectrum radiation requirements and impact is desired. An understanding of Assured Position, Navigation, and Timing (APNT) interface definition and requirements is also desired.
This candidate would use technical expertise on Radar to develop concepts and designs, evaluate feasibility of new technologies, as well as troubleshoot and resolve design, development, and operations issues.
Other roles and responsibilities include: Represent STARE in Integrated Fires (IF) Systems Engineering Spectrum and IFF Working Groups and other RF related meetings/working groups.
MS in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in radar systems. An active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance is desired.
Experience with defense radar systems Experience in high fidelity RF spectrum and radar models Experience with IFF and Position Navigation and Timing.
