Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking an eager radiology student to contribute to patient imaging under supervision. You will perform radiologic procedures on patients of all ages, position patients, and select appropriate protocols, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This hands-on role emphasizes learning with staff technologists, reviewing images, and following imaging protocols, with opportunities to grow in a collaborative, patient‑centered environment at Piedmont.

Qualifications

• A student currently enrolled in a 2nd year radiologic technology program is required.
• No work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiological procedures on patients of all age groups.
• Images must be reviewed by a staff technologists prior to submission for interpretation.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competencies for all related tasks.
• Accurately follows all established imaging protocols.
• When performing exams in ICU or surgery the student tech must be accompanied by a staff technologists.
• Provides quality age specific care in accordance with prescribed standards and practices.
• Adhere to the Radiation Safety Policies and the principles of a viable dose reduction program.
• Provides patient education and communications in accordance with prescribed standards.
