Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures for patients of all ages. The role operates under the supervision of a Radiologist or Manager, emphasizing patient-centered care and safety.

The position requires ARRT Radiography certification and BLS, with strong communication and patient service skills. You will support imaging workflows, uphold ALARA standards, and collaborate with the Radiology team to ensure optimal exam quality.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography certification required upon hire
• BLS certification required (Instructor or Basic Life Support)
• Excellent patient and customer service skills required

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging exams in various settings following ALARA principles
• Evaluate image quality and ensure proper patient identification
• Provide optimal patient care and respond to patient needs during procedures
• Assist Radiologist with procedures and protocols
• Maintain aseptic technique and respond to emergencies as needed

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to departmentprotocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self andothers. Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performspost processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded. Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies. Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned.
