Job summary

Wellstar is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures across ages. You will work under a Radiologist or manager, maintaining patient safety and quality imaging to support accurate diagnoses.

Responsibilities include adhering to ALARA, evaluating images, and assisting with procedures while prioritizing compassionate patient care and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• ARC-certified radiologic technologist credentialing requirements.
• BLS required or BLS instructor certification.
• Strong patient communication and care skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures with ALARA principles.
• Evaluate image quality and perform post-processing as needed.
• Assist radiologists and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Job Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist performs a wide variety of Diagnostic Imaging procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. This position works under the direction of a Radiologist or Manager.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Demonstrates sound knowledge in the performance of Diagnostic Imaging while adhering to departmentprotocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self andothers. Performs Diagnostic Imaging exams in a variety of settings. Evaluates images for technical quality, performspost processing of data and ensures proper Patient identification is recorded. Provides optimal patient care and assumes responsibility for the patient's needs during their procedures and exemplifies the philosophy of Patient Family Centered care to all. Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care and identifies and responds to emergency situations in an appropriate manner. Strictly adheres to the principles of aseptic technique andhand washing policies. Assists the Radiologist with procedures and protocols. Other duties as assigned.
