Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Radiology Technologist for a 32-hour evening/e/o weekend position. You will perform diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams, gather patient data, and support radiologists with interventional procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Under supervision of a Senior Radiologic Technologist, you’ll ensure image quality, proper documentation, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining patient comfort.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic program with ARRT registration.
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Ability to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiologic techniques per protocol.
  • Gather clinical data, maintain accurate patient records, and submit exams.
  • Position, transfer patients and assist physicians with interventional exams.
  • Ensure QA of images and route exams to PACS for radiologist review.
  • Maintain inventory and assist with ancillary department duties.

Performs independently within scope of department policies. Clinically works at the direction of a qualified Radiologist.**I. Major Responsibilities:**1. Properly performs all diagnostic and fluoroscopic radiologic techniques and examinations, consistent with the age of the patient, within in-patient or outpatient settings, in compliance with departmental and professional standards and protocols.2. Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintain accurate patient records.3. Accurately completes all exams, paperwork and submits promptly.4. Positions and transfers patients appropriately.5. Assists physicians with interventional exams.6. Promptly and properly completes exams and appropriately performs QA to images and then sends exams to PACS for review by the radiologist.7. Assists in maintaining an orderly inventory.8. Provides Radiological technology skills to perform all exams including portables, Emergency Department work, C-ARM, fluoroscopy, and general radiology procedures.9. Assists with any other job-related duties including film hanging, office duties and discrepancy documentation and follow-up.**Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:**1. Position Qualifications:**License/Certification/Education:Required:1. Graduate of an accredited radiological program.2. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).3.
