Job summary

Patewood Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC is seeking a Radiology professional to perform a range of radiographic procedures and ensure high-quality imaging. You will verify images, assist with complex studies, and maintain patient safety throughout fast-paced environments.

Role requires ARRT registration, SCRQSA in SC, CPR and strong customer service controls. Day shift, on-site at the Radiology Department, with a focus on teamwork and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Radiology certification program.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures including ERCPs, video fluoroscopy, OR procedures, lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, sialograms and more.
• Quality check images and document in PACS or EMR.
• Restart, program, and release air from IVACs; respond to codes and emergencies.
• Promote patient care and safety; ensure smooth patient flow and proper use of equipment.
• Collaborate within the department and assist staffing as needed.
• Inform patients of delays and complete procedures.

Job description

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Perform a variety of radiographic procedures applying ionizing radiation, including ERCPs, video fluoroscopies, OR procedures, lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, enterocolitis, sialograms, rhizotomy, facet blocks, endoscopy-tube placements or injections, t-tube cholangiogram, major trauma/trauma bay, neonatal ICU, and pacing lab.
• Demonstrate competency in arthrograms, myelograms, venograms, minor trauma, and troubleshooting complex studies and equipment problems.
• Obtain nursing assessments when nursing is unavailable, assess patient condition and cooperation, notify nurse and document infiltrates and reactions.
• Quality check images before sending to radiologist, including markers and pertinent information; document additional information in PACS or EPIC as needed.
• Restart, program, and release air from patient IVACs; respond appropriately to codes and emergency situations.
• Promote patient care and safety, ensure smooth patient flow, proper care and use of equipment and materials.
• Work collaboratively within the department to maintain good employee, physician, and supervisor relationships; assist with staffing needs due to shortages, FMLA, PTO, and sick time.
• Inform patients and families of delays exceeding 30 minutes, including ER room procedures.
• Complete patient arrival, charge procedures and supplies, end exams, and operate PACS system appropriately.
• Achieve patient satisfaction in accordance with Prisma Health standards and adhere to Behavior Essentials set by patient experience teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

About You
