Job summary

UCHealth is seeking a CT/MRI post-processing specialist at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. The role operates CT and MRI equipment, post-processes images, and supports radiologists with report dictation and 3D imaging requests.

The position requires ARRT, 2 years CT/MRI experience, and BLS certification. Schedule is full-time days with 80 hours per pay period, with a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT and MRI equipment and post-process images with TerraRecon software.
• Shadow radiologists during exams and report dictation; assist with reports and scheduling 3D imaging.
• Train/guide new post-processing staff; ensure proper PACS delivery and charge entry.
• Perform routine and complex CT/MRI scans; obtain history, explain procedures, address patient concerns.
• Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and manage supplies in a fast-paced environment.

Summary

Operates CT and MRI equipment; utilizes software to produce post processed 3-D diagnostic images.

Responsibilities

• Performs as super user of post-processing software and specifically TerraRecon post-processing software. Sends images to physicians. Post processes MR and CT images and communicates status of post processing completion.


• Shadows radiologists during exams, post processing and during report dictation. Shares information on best practices with providers and staff. Assists with developing marketing plans for post processing program. Assists with scheduling additional 3D imaging and ensures that physicians are satisfied with reports.


• Assists with setting up scheduling process for 3D imaging. Trains or directs orientation of additional post processing specialists. Ensures charges are entered correctly and images are sent correctly to PACS. Ensures reports are available.


• Performs routine and complex CT or MRI scans. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. Transports patients and maintains room for daily activities. Checks supplies. Maintains equipment; troubleshoots equipment problems; contacts appropriate service.


• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• 2 years of CT or MRI experience.


• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
