Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Care Tech to assist the radiology team with patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. Under supervision of professional staff, you will support imaging workflows and ensure patient safety, following infection control and safety guidelines.

CPR certification is required, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. This position supports a Fri-Sun shift with evenings into early mornings; flexibility and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Roles RADIOLOGY TECH AIDE Proficiency Level Functions as an assistant to the professional technologist in that modality.

• Conforms to safety standards dictated by regulatory agencies i.e. safety manuals, MSD sheets, OSHA issues.
• Maintains clean work environment, adequate equipment and supplies: All Imaging Equipment is kept in good working condition; Related supplies are kept clean, and is at desired par levels.
• Performs patient care activities delegated and supervised by the professional staff: Patient transport performed by (i.e. wheelchair, stretcher, or bed) utilizing appropriate safety techniques to prevent patient and self-injury; Assists Technologist with room prep, stocking supplies, cleaning, and moving and transport of patients.
• Respond effectively in emergencies and assists in prevention of patient injury: Initiates CPR when appropriate; Utilizes side rails and restraints to prevent patient injury; Reports to professional staff patients at increased risk for injury.
