Job summary

Congressional Country Club in Potomac, MD seeks a Racquets Professional to deliver high-quality tennis instruction to members and guests. The role covers adult and junior clinics, reservations management, and accurate billing for lessons and programs.

The position supports the Director of Tennis and Tennis Operations Manager, assisting with racquet programs, events, and member services while maintaining facilities and conduct on court. Part-time role with benefits.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of teaching experience.
• One or more years of padel tennis experience is preferred.
• USTA or USPTA teaching certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tennis instruction to members and guests.
• Conduct and teach adult and junior clinics.
• Accurately take and manage reservations for lessons and clinics.
• Perform timely and accurate billing for lessons, clinics, team practices, and adult programs.
• Assist Tennis Reservationists/Attendants with calls, reservations, and member communications.
• Build positive relationships with members and guests by being courteous and professional.
• Assist members with club policies, rules, and billing inquiries.
• Promote racquet programs, lessons, and special events.
• Follow opening/closing procedures and cash-handling protocols.
• Support hospitality through management of racquet activities, events, and member services.
• Maintain awareness of housekeeping, facility repair, and court maintenance needs.
• Fill in at the reservation desk when needed, ensuring accurate processing of reservations.
• Perform minor shop, lounge, locker room, and patio maintenance as required.

This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality lessons and clinics while assisting the Director of Tennis and Tennis Operations Manager in all aspects of racquets operations. Responsibilities also include managing merchandising, racquet stringing, and customizing.
