POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pro Shop Attendant provides exceptional service to members and guests while supporting the day-to-day operation of the Racquet Sports Pro Shop. This position assists with court and program reservations, member inquiries, merchandise sales and presentation, special orders, inventory, and Racquet Sports communications. The Pro Shop Attendant works closely with the Pro Shop Manager, Director of Racquet Sports, teaching professionals, and other team members to ensure a welcoming, organized, and professional member experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Member and Guest Service:
- Greet members and guests in accordance with Hunters Run service standards.
- Provide accurate information regarding Racquet Sports programs, attire, rules, guest policies, tennis and pickleball equipment, merchandise, and general department operations.
- Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Assist members with questions, concerns, and general Racquet Sports needs, referring issues to management when appropriate.
CourtReserve and Scheduling:
- Utilize CourtReserve to assist members with court reservations, lessons, clinics, organized play, events, and other Racquet Sports programming.
- Assist with scheduling lessons, clinics, events, and courts in accordance with department procedures.
- Maintain current knowledge of Racquet Sports programs and schedules in order to provide accurate information to members.
Pro Shop and Retail Support:
- Assist members with merchandise purchases, equipment questions, and special orders.
- Assist with receiving, preparing, displaying, and maintaining merchandise on the Pro Shop floor.
- Assist with monthly inventory and other inventory-control procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Pro Shop environment.
- Assist with sales, returns, and member charges using the club’s approved point-of-sale system.
Programs and Communication:
- Promote Racquet Sports programs, events, and activities and assist members with registration and participation information.
- Communicate program updates and operational information accurately and professionally.
- Assist with Racquet Sports events and special programming as assigned.
Club Rules and Operational Support:
- Maintain working knowledge of Racquet Sports policies, dress codes, guest procedures, reservation rules, and program guidelines.
- Professionally communicate and consistently enforce club and Racquet Sports policies.
- Identify operational concerns or opportunities for improvement and communicate them to Racquet Sports management.
- Provide support in other areas of the Racquet Sports operation as needed and directed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Pro Shop Manager, Director of Racquet Sports.
Education / Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior Pro Shop experience in a private county club and knowledge of tennis or pickleball is preferred.
- Retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications/Skills
- Excellent member-service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with CourtReserve, basic computer applications, telephone systems, and point-of-sale systems, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Ability to read, write, and understand schedules, invoices, work orders, program information, and other business documents.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
- Dependable, professional, and able to manage multiple priorities.
