Job summary

Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Director of Racquet Sports to oversee all racquet club operations, programming for members and guests, and tournament activity.

You will direct staff, manage budgets, coordinate with human resources, and ensure safety and service standards while expanding membership and programming.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Racquet Sports leadership, USPTA/USPTR or equivalent, and a track record in event execution and facility maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on Business/Sports Management.
• Three years’ experience as Racquet Sports Director or Head Professional in a Membership and/or Resort driven operation.
• USPTA or USPTR certified with similar accreditation or extensive experience with pickleball.
• High level of program development & execution expected.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute racquet sports programming for members, resort guests, and local/national tournaments.
• Must work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attend required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.
• Maintain high safety standards and a safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Oversee daily scheduling of staff and court maintenance for outdoor clay and hard surfaces.
