Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience installing/racking servers, switches, routers and related components in 19” racks.
• Ability to route, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6a cables to industry standards.
• Soldering certification (J-STD-001 preferred) and MIL-STD-1310 familiarity are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rack, install and secure hardware in 19” EIA racks.
• Install and connect PDUs, circuit breakers, and UPS systems.
• Route, terminate, and test network cabling to spec (TIA/EIA).
• Install and test fiber optic cables using OTDR and light meters.
• Label and organize cables for maintenance and serviceability.
• Troubleshoot hardware, cabling and connectivity issues.
• Follow engineering drawings and company procedures.
• Maintain workspace and test finished products for defects.
