Job summary

GLOBAL GAMING RP LLC in Oklahoma City is seeking a Horse Valet to assist with horse tack, saddling, and equipment prep for races.

The role requires high school completion, willingness to work a fast-paced, flexible schedule, and the ability to operate in a smoke-filled casino environment. You will support trainers and jockeys, manage gear, and ensure safety and order around race day activities.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of horse and rider’s racing equipment and saddling for horses.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain calm, composed presence in challenging environments with multiple tasks.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays; ability to work in a smoke-filled casino environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and organizes each rider for races; sets out equipment including helmets, helmet covers, whips and boots; makes saddle available for weigh-out.
• Ensure proper weight for assigned jockeys.
• Assist in saddling horses in paddock under trainer direction.
• Check riders are wearing proper silks, helmet cover and arm number.
• Remove tack after races and return equipment to jockeys' room; transfer gear between rooms as needed.
• Provide racing forms and mark programs; shuttle saddle and saddle pad to paddock and assist trainer with saddling.
• Transfer equipment from jockeys' room to paddock and back after races.
• Maintain the Jockeys' Room and riders' needs on racing days; keep the Valet Room in good condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
