Churchill Downs Incorporated is seeking a Security Officer for Turfway Park in Florence, Kentucky. You will help maintain a safe and secure environment for team members, guests, and horsemen while patrolling various areas, checking documents, and responding to incidents.

The role requires basic PC skills, clear communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced gaming and racing facility with the potential to handle a variety of security tasks.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with team members and customers
• Basic PC skills for security systems and reporting
• Clear oral and written communications in a security environment
• Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security of team members and customers
• Control access to restricted areas
• Respond to incidents and accidents promptly
• Monitor horsemen, patrons, and employee access to grounds
• Identify safety hazards and report them
• Answer incoming calls and direct patron questions
• Patrol the barn and dorm areas
• Obtain documents for horses to enter grounds
• Possibly operate a company vehicle with a valid driver’s license
• Perform other duties as assigned
