Job summary

NHRA is seeking an Emergency Services Team member to assist during race events at Gainesville Raceway. You will be stationed on-site to respond to emergencies, protect fans, racers and crew, and maintain a fun, safe atmosphere while following established emergency protocols.

The role requires state firefighter and/or EMT-basic certification, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced motorsport environment. Flexible shifts and strong teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be state certified firefighter and/or EMT-basic.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk, bend, climb, push, pull, climb, and lift 50 lbs.
• Due to potential of operating a vehicle, you must be insurable under NHRA policy.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively via vehicle or on foot.
• Ensure compliance with emergency protocols in a fast-paced racing environment.
• Assist with crowd management and evacuations as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members and emergency responders during incidents.
• Maintain safety for fans, racers, and crew members.
• Monitor designated areas alongside the racetrack and throughout the facility.
• Provide clear safety information to guests while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
