Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Akron, OH seeks an Experimental Technician to operate and assist in building tires and tire components, with emphasis on race tires. The role requires checking materials, testing processes, and inspecting finished goods for quality.

This position offers 2nd shift (6:30 AM–2:30 PM or 2:30 PM–10:30 PM) with overtime opportunities. You will maintain safe work areas, document daily production activities, and support equipment setup and cleaning in the Advanced

Qualifications

• Must observe all applicable safety rules.
• Must bend, carry, walk, stand, turn, handle, sit, hear, lift, finger, climb, reach, and stoop.
• Must tolerate noise, vibration, odors, and dust.
• Must lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be trained and fully certified for forklift/mobile equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Curing presses operation and mold changing; final inspection.
• Operate tire machines, drum changing, and related equipment.
• Calendaring/Extrusion and stock preparation.
• Perform other duties for the Advanced Technology Workshop, including equipment cleanup and quality circles.
• Check, verify, transport, unload, rearrange and assemble materials as directed.
• Maintain neat work and storage areas and document daily production activities.
• Properly handle EPA-regulated waste within the department.
