Job summary

Upson Regional Medical Center is seeking a RAC Specialist to manage accurate data entry and timely requests in RAC software, track processes from receipt to finalization, and participate in reviewing medical records for audits.

You will assist in appeals writing, coordinate radiology scheduling and insurance verification, obtain authorizations, and support Revenue Cycle meetings. Requires attention to detail and at least one year in billing/audit work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of experience in billing and chart audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and timely entries in RAC software.
• Track process from initial receipt through end of process.
• Assist in writing appeals and tracing status of appeals.
• Assist with scheduling radiology appointments and insurance verification.
• Obtain authorizations for radiology procedures for MCD & retro MCD.
• Compile minutes for Revenue Cycle & physician Revenue Cycle meetings.
