Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior Accounting Leader to orchestrate a team of accounting professionals, ensuring timely and accurate month-end close in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. You will partner with stakeholders, drive fixed assets and general ledger excellence, and lead finance transformation across the organization.

You will oversee internal controls, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging SAP-FI (S/4 Hana) and Blackline to standardize processes and enhance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in Fixed Assets and General Ledger.
• Minimum 3 years of Team Leadership.
• +5 years in SAP-FI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop accounting team, guiding issue resolution and process improvements.
• Oversee month-end close and ensure IFRS and local GAAP compliance.
• Manage account reconciliations and fixed assets tasks using Blackline/S/4 Hana.
• Drive finance transformation projects and standardization of processes.
• Oversee internal controls and support audits with timely information.
• Document and implement new processes and procedures.

Lead a team of accounting experts, managing issues, analyzing errors, and driving process improvements while ensuring timely and accurate month-end closing in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP. Build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, actively listening to their needs and managing complex operational issues, while sharing best practices across teams. Serve as the go-to contact for accounting issues, guiding the team in resolving challenges and spearheading finance transformation projects for enhanced efficiency.

• Take the lead on exciting continuous improvement initiatives, champion finance transformation projects, and help standardize and automate processes across the organization.
• Oversee internal controls and play a crucial part in internal and external audits by delivering timely information and resolving auditor queries.
• Drive the implementation and documentation of new processes and procedures, making a real difference as we move forward!

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the field of Fixed Assets, General Ledger.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Team Leadership
• +5 years in SAP-FI
• You are open and communicative in Portuguese as well as fluent English skills complete your profile
