Job summary

Weil Group, Inc. is seeking an R&D Engineer and/or Validation Engineer to provide independent technical support through experiments and analysis.

The role builds scientific knowledge across disciplines and supports validation activities within the project team. The candidate will review and develop equipment validation protocols, design tools and fixtures in SolidWorks, and work with Process Development to qualify new processes.

Qualifications

• Has appropriate scientific/engineering experience to provide independent technical support through experiment execution and analysis.
• Builds scientific knowledge within and across disciplines surrounding core business principles.
• Applies engineering and scientific methods to quality and validation tasks.
• Follows EH&S procedures and site SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Support IQ validation and tool qualification activities.
• Review and develop equipment validation protocols and reports.
• Use SolidWorks to design, update and review tools and fixtures for test methods and product needs.
• Collaborate with Process Development to qualify new processes and assist on sampling plans.
• Design and develop in-process and receiving quality systems for new processes and components.
• Generate equipment documentation, including PM and calibration procedures.
• Define gages, tools and equipment for test methods.
• Generate manufacturing instructions for new test methods.
• Work cross-functionally with departments to achieve PD and R&D goals.
• Stay current with technologies and literature in the field.
