Job summary

General Mills, Inc. is seeking a Technologist to support the Family Favorites Business Unit, spanning Kid cereal brands, Cereal Innovation, and Emerging brands. You will lead prototyping, pilot plant learning, scale-up, and commercialization activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You'll design experiments across bench to full-scale manufacturing, document results, manage specifications in GMI systems, and help advance concepts to commercialization with speed and rigor.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in lab, pilot plant, and manufacturing environments
• Strong organizational, documentation, and project management skills
• Ability to learn equipment and adapt to multiple technical platforms
• Attention to detail and strong communication across audiences

Responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and execute experiments across benchtop, pilot plant, and full-scale manufacturing.
• Document results, analyze data, and draw insights to inform development.
• Learn and operate equipment across several technical platforms safely.
• Support risk assessments and food safety considerations in projects.
• Create product formulations, specifications, and documentation in GMI systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance concepts toward commercialization.
