Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking an R&D Technician to support prototype turn-on, calibration, and failure analysis of high-performance oscilloscopes. You will run automated tests, analyze data, and communicate results to the R&D team, contributing to design validation under temperature and humidity conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, NPI, or a related technical environment, or equivalent experience.
• General knowledge of electronics and electronics manufacturing.
• Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly, including use of torque drivers.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate technical issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Electrical Static Discharge (ESD)-controlled environment.
• Calibrate and run automated tests on prototypes.
• Troubleshoot electronic prototypes and identify potential failure modes.
• Run scripts and automated processes to determine failure modes and communicate findings to the R&D team.
• Execute automated performance characterization tests on prototypes across temperature and humidity conditions.
• Collect, analyze, and communicate characterization data.
• Support prototype turn-on, instrument functionality, calibration, and failure analysis activities.
• Document technical issues and test results accurately and effectively.
