Job summary

Microbiologics in Saint Cloud, MN seeks an R&D Technician to support product development using microbiology, molecular biology, and virology techniques. The role is tiered (Tech I–III) based on education and experience, with a Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm schedule.

Responsibilities include development, QC, and transfer of findings across departments, performing PCR and cell culture methods, and maintaining thorough documentation to support validations and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field (Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline).
• 1 year minimum experience with lab practices and documentation.
• Experience with qPCR/ddPCR validation and basic instrumentation troubleshooting.
• Ability to independently plan and execute basic R&D studies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, manufacturing, and QC of microbiology/virology and molecular products.
• Transfer research findings to Production and QC teams.
• Perform molecular biology techniques including PCR and nucleic acid analyses.
• Perform microbiology and cell culture/virology techniques and enumerate/titrate samples.
• Document activities for design controls, validations, verifications, and statistics.
