Job summary

McGuire Sponsel is seeking an R&D Tax Credit Consultant to support retroactive studies and current-year engagements. You will review data, prepare calculations, and summarize findings for clients, while collaborating with internal teams and visiting client sites as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in accounting or related field, have 1–3 years of experience, strong Excel skills, and are comfortable with travel up to 30% across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting, engineering, business, or related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and client-facing comfort.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze financial, technical, and operational data for each R&D project.
• Prepare tax credit calculations and supporting documentation using Microsoft Excel.
• Write clear, technical project narratives summarizing findings and qualifying activities.
• Conduct on-site client visits to understand research processes and qualified activities.
• Manage client relationships through effective communication and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate, compliant outputs.
• Maintain organized project documentation and adhere to deadlines.
• Assist with research on regulatory guidance and tax rules.
