Job summary

Hadrian, based in Los Angeles, is seeking an R&D Applications Engineer with deep sheet metal manufacturing experience to support laser, punch, and press brake based processes for production readiness on critical programs.

You will work in an R&D environment, executing manufacturing projects with Engineering and training operators on advanced techniques. This on-site role supports aerospace-quality manufacturing in a fast-growing autonomy-focused company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in sheet metal manufacturing or process engineering, punching preferred.
• Strong understanding of flat pattern development, bend allowances, and GD&T.
• Proficient in sheet metal processes: punching/punch-laser combo/waterjet cutting, bending and roll-forming.
• Clear communicator with strong documentation and project planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute R&D manufacturing projects with Engineers.
• Manufacture parts to specification by cutting, forming and bending.
• Use a broad range of tools, jigs, fixtures, and inspection equipment.
• Operate heavy machinery including forklifts.
• Maintain machines and tooling inventory.
• Occasional travel to other factories for support.
• Train operators on advanced techniques and processes.
