Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc, is seeking a curious, technically capable R&D Scientist to develop and improve chemical products and technologies across a global portfolio.

You will be part of an innovative R&D organization supporting both new product development and continuous improvement initiatives, collaborating in multidisciplinary teams to translate scientific ideas into practical commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of industry experience in a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, chemical, or a related field required.
  • One or more of the following: materials testing background, experience with metals, QC background, lab experience.
  • Basic computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint; ability to log process data.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as Minitab is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, follow instructions, communicate effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail; focus on process control, documentation, quality.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples, perform analytical tests, record data and observations, prepare summaries of experiments.
  • Perform compaction testing.
  • Conduct analysis of compacted samples – thermal conductivity, push-out strength, X-ray.
  • Troubleshoot basic process issues and appropriate use of lab equipment.
  • Perform parameter optimization and failure analysis.
  • Handle microscopic components; use microscopes, tweezers, vacuum tools.
  • Process documentation, basic troubleshooting, maintaining repeatability and yield.

The typical base salary range for this position is between $71,822.00 to $107,732.00
