Job summary

QED Technologies is seeking a Scientific Software Engineer I to contribute to software for precision-optics manufacturing and metrology. You will work under senior engineers to design, implement, test, and support software interfacing with complex optical systems and motion hardware.

The role emphasizes strong math/physics fundamentals, collaboration, and a growing ownership of code quality. On-site with limited remote work; domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in appropriate engineering/physical sciences
• 0–3 years of relevant software development experience
• Strong object-oriented programming and code debugging skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Master’s degree is beneficial but not required
