Job summary

Novanta Corporation seeks a Project Manager to lead multiple R&D projects from concept to closure, interfacing with customers, hardware and software engineers, product managers, procurement and senior leadership. Location options include Apex, NC or Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, managing RAID items, developing charters, minutes and KPI presentations, and preparing for business reviews with executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 0-3 years of Project Management experience.
• 3-5 years cumulative experience managing projects.
• Ability to work in a team environment and foster collaboration across disciplines.
• Motivated and capable of working independently to achieve goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet or MS Project (or similar PM tool).
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO9001 or ISO13485 compliance is a plus.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver scope on time.
• Create and follow project plans from inception to closure.
• Record, track & monitor RAID items (risks, issues, dependencies, assumptions).
• Track and close action items and document decisions.
• Manage project resources and budgets.
• Create project charters, meeting minutes and KPI reports.
• Prepare for business reviews with stakeholders.
