Job summary

Curt G. Joa, Inc. is seeking a Junior Project Engineer to assist in engineering design, documentation, and validation activities.

You will support project execution under senior engineers, participate in design reviews, and help troubleshoot and test to meet specifications, safety, and quality standards. Responsibilities include transitioning projects between teams, risk assessment, creating and updating work orders, and providing on-site support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of engineering or equipment design experience preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical or systems design.
• Ability to learn and apply design software for problem-solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team-oriented and able to follow senior staff guidance.

The Junior Project Engineer helps bridge the gap between design and execution by providing hands-on support, participating in design reviews, and assisting with troubleshooting and testing efforts.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• 2-4 years of Experience In An Engineering Or Equipment Design Environment Preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of mechanical or systems design principles.
• Ability to learn and apply complex software tools for problem-solving and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and follow direction from senior staff.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands/fingers to manipulate, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls, and/or talk or hear. The employee must occasionally stand, and/or walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and/or reach above shoulders. The employee must be able to travel approximately 20 - 25% on company business. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds while moving converting equipment components and subassemblies. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee occasionally works in proximity to moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, in proximity to fumes or airborne particles, and near sources of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be loud while working in a manufacturing environment.
