Job summary

Alcon's Lake Forest, CA office is seeking an Engineering Technician for the Research & Development Process & Product Design team. The role is onsite and focuses on supporting testing, documentation, and compliance activities throughout product development.

The position emphasizes hands-on testing, fixture development, and involvement in product design and rework support to advance medical devices. Strong English communication and regulatory familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience or high school +8 yrs AS degree +4 yrs.
• Preferred Qualifications: prior engineering/technician experience in testing, product design, fixture development and assembly/rework for medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for product design and development processes, assisting in testing, documentation, and compliance.
• Follow established protocols to perform routine product evaluations, maintain laboratory equipment, and collect data to support research efforts.
• Assist in troubleshooting product design issues and maintaining regulatory compliance and quality standards.
• Develop foundational knowledge in product testing, materials analysis, and technical reporting for new product development and validation.
