Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Portfolio Decision Scientist to partner with the Head of Portfolio Decision Sciences in RI&I. You will support the RI&I and broader Pharmaceutical pipeline from preclinical to late-stage development, using data‑driven analyses to guide investment decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
PhD or MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Experience leading or supporting drug development projects in a cross‑functional team.

Responsibilities

Guide pipeline project teams through strategic decisions and economic analyses (ROI/NPV).
Provide objective project assessments for R&D investments at RI&I RU board and PIB.
Deliver recommendations to investment bodies with clear risk delineation and resource optimization.
Lead indication‑level assessments to inform portfolio prioritization and investments.
Collaborate across portfolio management, finance, strategy and operations to optimize resources.
Support dynamic Portfolio Review (dPR) process to surface new opportunities.
