Job summary

Anduril Industries in Lexington, MA seeks a skilled technician to collaborate with development and test engineers, fabricating electro‑mechanical assemblies and advancing rapid prototyping for optical systems on airborne, maritime, and space platforms.

You will own internal prototyping resources, develop integration/test fixtures, and travel to external labs as needed, focusing on reliability, troubleshooting, and meeting defense‑grade standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience as a technician on complex electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to work with limited oversight on R&D tasks (evaluate, design, order materials, execute).
• Experience with building and troubleshooting cables and wiring harnesses.
• Familiar with soldering, crimping, assembling cables and connectors.
• Basic electrical understanding (voltage drop, wire sizing, Ohm's Law).
• Ability to own entire rapid prototyping process from start to finish.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and test new optical systems for airborne, maritime and space platforms.
• Fabricate and assemble high quality, high reliability electro‑mechanical assemblies.
• Develop and implement integration and test fixtures; setup and report results.
• Own internal prototyping resources, including mechanical and electrical fabrication equipment.
• Manage R+D space from facilities and organizational standpoint.
• Travel to external laboratories and test sites as needed.
