Sandia National Laboratories seeks a highly skilled R&D S&E Mechanical Engineer (Leaks) to join the Primary Standards Laboratory. You will calibrate and certify measurement equipment for NNSA standards, generate certificates, and improve procedures while solving calibration challenges with strong metrology knowledge.

You will analyze measurement uncertainty, develop new methods for gas leaks, vacuum, and gas analysis, and collaborate across teams to support national security missions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE-Q Clearance.

Responsabilités

• Research and develop advances in measurement methods and uncertainty analyses.
• Develop calibration methods and system qualifications for gas leaks, vacuum, and gas analysis systems.
• Generate certificates/reports and maintain procedures; improve calibration quality and efficiency.
• Collaborate with the team to support Sandia's national security missions.
• Work with customers and team to apply statistical methods to evaluate measurement uncertainty.
