Job summary

Pacific Industrial Development in Ann Arbor, MI, is seeking a hands-on Chemical Technician for Product & Process Development. You will design, run, and document experiments to develop new materials and processes, and help scale up from lab to production while maintaining rigorous records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven ability to design, conduct, and document experiments.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate laboratory documentation.
• Ability to analyze results and communicate findings clearly.
• Ability to work independently and with a technical team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments to develop and improve materials, formulations, and processes.
• Support development of materials and formulations, esp. catalysis and related processes.
• Develop new experimental methods and processes.
• Design and construct laboratory apparatus and equipment for experiments.
• Analyze results, identify trends, and recommend next steps.
• Maintain detailed records of experiments and communicate results to the team.
• Support IP development and scale-up activities into production.
• Troubleshoot process and material issues and contribute practical solutions.
• Prepare materials and samples for testing and development activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe laboratory environment and equipment.
