Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking an R&D Manager to lead a laboratory task group and guide product and process development aligned with company goals. You will plan resources, supervise staff, and coordinate with production to scale up new formulations and technology.

Responsibilities include developing new resins, defining safe scale-up procedures, and improving existing products. You will support Sales/Marketing and document extensive technical reports and manuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Ten years in R&D with product/process development in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and ability to develop technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Project planning including resource allocation, equipment, and personnel.
• Develop new resin formulations and products; transfer to production.
• Define procedures and parameters for scale-up and tech transfer.
• Improve existing products and processes; qualify to specs.
• Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing; write reports and manuals.
• Develop personnel resources aligned with strategic plans.
• Recommend manufacturing and laboratory improvements; ensure safety.
• Provide customer technical service; maintain vendor relationships.
• Write specifications (RMS, GPS, GMS, PCD, GTP, GOS, GWI).
• Supervise hourly and salaried employees; perform other duties as needed.
