Job summary

Howmet Aerospace is seeking an R&D Machinist at the Kingston, NY facility to support new product development by machining, assembling and troubleshooting pre-production and made-to-order specials. You will work with Product Design Engineering and report to the Lead Design Engineer.

Five years’ experience with manual and CNC lathes, mills and grinding, CAM programming, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and ITAR compliance is required. The company offers competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

  • Recommend engineering improvements to enhance product function and ease of manufacture.

Responsibilities

Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a R&D Machinist to work with Product Design Engineering, supporting new product development, performing machining, assembly and troubleshooting of pre-production, low volume specials and made to order customer special requests.This position reports to the Lead Design Engineer, in the Kingston, NY fastener installation tooling manufacturing facility.

Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation.

The annual salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000.

Five (5) years’ experiencein manual and CNC lathes, mills and grinding operation.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;

This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
