Job summary

Ampcus, Inc. is seeking a Laboratory Technician in Walpole, MA to join a fast-paced R&D team supporting NPD and CPS related to POC assay development.

The role involves lab testing for product development, verification, and regulatory submittals, plus support for customer issues and proficiency testing. The candidate will collaborate with R&D scientists, perform wet chemistry, assemble consumables, maintain lab inventories, and help optimize procedures while following GLP, GDP, and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related clinical lab field.
  • At least 1 year of industrial/lab experience.
  • Experience with plasma, serum, and whole blood.
  • Proficient in Excel and Word; basic statistics knowledge.
  • Willingness to work in a biohazardous environment and adhere to GLP/GDP.

Responsibilities

  • Support R&D sensor and reagent scientists to generate data for new products.
  • Perform lab testing, prepare solutions, and assemble consumables.
  • Develop and validate test methods and run multiple protocols.
  • Investigate anomalous results and communicate findings clearly.
  • Assist with lab inventory, procedures, and receiving materials.
  • Identify opportunities for continual lab improvements and collaborate with QA/Operations.
