Job summary

Abbott is seeking a hands-on R&D Technician II in Plymouth, MN for a 12-month, 100% onsite assignment. The role focuses on executing experimental studies, generating high-quality data, and supporting device characterization and verification testing.

The ideal candidate will be detailed, technically minded, and capable of working both independently and with a team to ensure reliable, well-documented results. Strong analytical skills and comfort with Excel are important.

Qualifications

• Experience in lab, R&D, testing or medical device environments is preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Technical degree or hands-on experience in related fields is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in executing experiments and recording data.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct experiments and generate technical reports.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and maintain readiness.
• Collect data with accuracy and repeatability and analyze results.
• Prepare study plans and documentation to support device characterization and verification testing.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and scientists to support data collection.
