Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience or an Associate/Bachelor degree in engineering, applied or physical sciences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in expanding non‑destructive testing capabilities of composite materials.
• Conduct testing on product properties including standard QC tests.
• Develop understanding of equipment and processes, troubleshooting issues.
• Analyze processes, products, or equipment against desired results.
• Utilize lab scale and production scale equipment to generate prototypes.
• Conduct experiments to improve upon various materials and processes.
• Recommend improvements based on analyzed results.
• Assist in trial runs, evaluations, and customer requirement analysis.
• Present results and conclusions to R&D and other functions.
• Work under minimal supervision with project priorities in mind.

Skills

Extrusion or testing experience in the extruded building products industry

Working knowledge of polymer processing analysis, testing and equipment

Ability to analyze and report data

Mechanical and analytical aptitude

Proactive communication

Education

Associate/Bachelor degree in engineering, applied or physical sciences
