Job description

Exciting opportunity for an R&D Lab Tech to join a Chemical company near the Horsham, PA area.

MISSION: To support R&D, Tech Service, and QC Lab activities, along with other tasks as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: BS/BA in Chemistry or related sciences, or completion of General Chemistry I and II with relevant experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, ability to follow procedures, lift up to 40 pounds, walk and stand for extended periods, climb ladders and catwalks, and work indoors and outdoors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

General:

• Perform lab tests following ISO 9001 procedures and safety practices.
• Document and report internal and supplier quality incidents.
• Maintain data in lab notebooks or electronically in D3FO.
• Organize and control work areas, including high-density storage and labs.
• Perform calibrations as assigned.
• Retrieve data from the business management system (D3FO).
• Operate basic instrumentation such as pH meters, densitometers, moisture analyzers, and solid percentage testers; operate advanced instrumentation like FTIR and gas chromatography.
• Work overtime and weekends if needed.
• Handle other QC responsibilities and support R&D tasks.

R & D:

• Conduct stability tests and routine product testing under guidance.
• Fill special customer sample orders.
• Assist with answering technical line inquiries.
• Perform other R&D tasks as assigned.

Quality Control:

• Test packaging materials, raw materials, and batches; record data in D3FO.
