Job summary

VT Industries, Inc. offers an engineering internship supporting the Design Engineering Team on new product development projects. You will assist with prototype builds and develop standard work instructions and audits.

The role emphasizes creativity, data analysis, and strong communication while learning state-of-the-art manufacturing processes. This on-site internship provides exposure to cross-functional teams and real ROI-focused projects across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Major in Engineering or related field.
• Entering Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year.
• Creative, self-motivated, and well-organized.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to analyze and evaluate data.
• Respectful of employees, vendors and customers.
• Adherence to Code of Conduct and Attendance Policy.

Responsibilities

• Support and recommend R&D efforts, along with creating prototype builds
• Create and maintain standard work instructions, SOPs, 5S checklists, and standard work audits
• Develop and review test criteria, procedures, sequence, etc. with design engineering
• Conduct or provide instruction in the conducting of tests
• Support supplier quality improvement actions and ensure effective implementation of engineering and quality objectives
• Improve processes and eliminate waste in key constraint areas
• Determine potential savings and calculate ROI for projects
• Other duties as assigned
