Job summary

Keysight Technologies seeks an R&D engineering intern to join a high-performance team in Santa Rosa, CA. You will design and simulate RF/analog circuits, troubleshoot hardware, and collaborate across hardware, firmware/software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers on hands-on projects.

As a R&D engineering intern at Keysight, you will join a high-performance R&D team located in Santa Rosa, CA. You will have the opportunity to leverage your Electrical Engineering and measurement knowledge to contribute to a range of hands‑on projects.

Your responsibilities will include designing and simulating RF and/or analog designs, troubleshooting the hardware when it arrives, and working with the cross-functional team, including other hardware engineers, firmware/software, mechanical, materials, and manufacturing engineers. Projects may require the use of scripting/AI workflows. The ideal candidate is equally proficient in design and characterization in a hands‑on environment.

Qualifications

• Working towards a BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• RF/microwave and/or analog circuit design
• Self‑motivated, quick‑learner and excellent analytical skills
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Must be flexible, adaptable and eager to push technical boundaries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Desired Skills

• Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment, especially RF equipment
• Proficiency at one or more scripting languages
• Digital signal processing (DSP) knowledge

Keysight Internship Program Requirements

Candidates who wish to be considered must be enrolled in a accredited college/university as of September 2026. Applicants who have graduated before September 2026 will not be considered unless they are entering/applying to a MS or PHD program after graduating.

The level of the role will be based in applicable experience, education and skills; most offers will be between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary listed below.

CA pay range MIN $39.53 - MAX $42.57
