Job summary

Oakwood Labs is seeking a R&D Formulations Intern to gain hands-on experience developing polymer-based pharmaceutical products and supporting pre-formulation experiments, formulation testing, and process scale-up from lab to pilot scale. This internship provides coaching, mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams involved in product development.

This in-person summer internship in the Cleveland, Ohio area offers housing assistance if needed, mentoring, and the chance to present

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree, junior year completed, in Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn in a lab setting.

# R&D Formulations InternOakwood Village, OH 44146## OverviewPosition TypeInternship## DescriptionThe R&D Formulation Internship will provide you with hands-on experience developing polymer based pharmaceutical products, with exposure to pre-formulation experiments, product formulation testing, and process scale-up ranging from laboratory to pilot scale. This internship will also provide opportunities for coaching and mentoring, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams involved in pharmaceutical product development, and the opportunity to present a summary of your work to the R&D team.## QualificationsWe are seeking students pursuing a Bachelor's degree who have completed at least their junior year and are majoring in Chemical Engineering. Biomedical Engineering, or similar degrees. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication skills, an eagerness to learn, team focus, high level of self-motivation, and a desire to work in a laboratory setting.* The typical summer term is 10 to 12 weeks beginning in May.* The internship is in-person in the Cleveland, Ohio area.* Housing assistance, if needed, includes a monthly stipend.* Temporary housing can be coordinated through Oakwood, however, housing arrangements are the students responsibility.* Transportation is the student's responsibility.* Pay rate is $20.00 per hour.* This position is overtime eligible.
