Job summary

Paylocity in Sparks, NV is seeking a Food Science Formulation Specialist to revise formulations for manufacturability, quality, and profitability across NOW’s facilities. You will work with powders, liquids, pilot plant equipment, and packaging to meet profitability and deadlines.

Responsibilities include reformulating for cost efficiency, supporting troubleshooting, tracking materials in systems, and ensuring compliance with NOW specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science degree in Food Science; or minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office required.
• Familiarity with tableting and encapsulation preferred.
• Food or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience with gluten-free products a plus.

Responsibilities

• Revises formulations and/or reformulations to improve manufacturability, quality, production efficiency, and profitability.
• Provides technical troubleshooting to increase efficiencies and resolve quality problems.
• Coordinates, develops and evaluates existing formulas for NOW specifications.
• Inputs BOMs, specifications, and manufacturing instructions into Oracle.
