Job summary

The R&D Formulation Chemist at Scientific Search will support senior scientists in developing and adjusting cosmetic, OTC, and medical device formulations. You will compound batches, perform stability tests, and document results using company software.

You’ll work across Skin, Body, Hair, and Oral care categories, collaborate with multiple teams, and communicate findings clearly to ensure on-time commercialization with attention to quality and regulatory considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or related science.
• 2+ years of progressive laboratory experience, internship or college lab work.
• Experience in product development or instrumental chemistry is preferred.
• Cosmetics/personal care/OTC formulation knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and support commercialization of new personal care, oral care, and OTC products.
• Identify raw materials and technologies for formulation work.
• Set up experiments and analyze samples with laboratory instrumentation.
• Conduct stability testing and maintain lab equipment.
• Document results clearly in notebooks and company software.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across product development, management, and manufacturing.
• Assist with inventory and maintain a clean lab environment.
• Communicate formulation and stability issues to senior staff.
