Lionbridge Technologies in Corvallis, OR is seeking an Engineering Technician to work with R&D Engineering to develop testing methodologies and some prototyping. The ideal candidate will be analytical, experienced in testing, comfortable with printers and related equipment, and proficient with hand tools.

You will perform general lab duties to test parts, identify and troubleshoot issues, write test summaries, read schematics and data sheets, assist in failure analysis, install and validate new

Qualifications

• Ability to perform all assigned tasks independently and complete on schedule.
• Read and interpret prints and schematics.
• Use general test/measurement equipment (calipers, height gauges, etc.).
• Background in practical mechanics and troubleshooting.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• General lab duties to facilitate testing of parts (ink, adhesive, structural part testing).
• Identify and troubleshoot process, material, or equipment problems and recommend solutions.
• Assist engineers with revisions and improvements to testing methodology.
• Document testing observations and results; write test summaries.
• Read schematics and data sheets to ensure conformance and quality of in-process parts.
• Assist in failure analysis and root cause determination.
• Install and validate new equipment following validation procedures.
• Collaborate with operations management and engineers to meet client schedules.
