Job summary

Terumo Neuro in Aliso Viejo, CA, is seeking an experienced R&D Engineering Manager to lead a team from entry to junior level on product development projects. You will apply scientific processes and robust project management to drive innovative medical devices from concept through launch.

You will collaborate across R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to meet objectives, manage multiple projects, and ensure quality system compliance and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum six (6) years of relevant work experience in medical device industry.
• Minimum one (1) year of management experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to use design/engineering and management software and equipment to perform engineering and management tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, Teams, and SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a group of individuals from entry level to junior level on projects of defined scope.
• Direct subordinates toward clear company objectives efficiently.
• Collaborate cross functionally with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs to achieve objectives and resolve issues.
• Manage multiple large- and small-scale projects and timelines.
• Independently manage project timelines using established project management methodology.
• Communicate project status and issues clearly to the organization.
• Analyze data and proposed specifications to determine feasibility of proposals.
• Confer with departments to prepare design modifications and develop designs.
• Plan and prepare quality system documentation, specifications, and drawings.
• Comply with laws, adhere to QMS processes and demonstrate Ethics and Integrity.
