Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking an engineer to design, manufacture and operate medical device structures and systems under guidance.

The role involves evaluating techniques, identifying technical variables, and coordinating with engineers and technicians to advance projects. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's in engineering or a related field with several years of experience, and will contribute to prototype creation and documentation (ECNs) as part of ongoing product

Qualifications

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical field and three years previous related experience.
• Ability to apply analytical skills and scientific technical principles in problem solving and development.
• Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database and other applicable software programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex technical work such as the design, manufacture and operation of structures, machines and systems under broad supervision and guidelines.
• Evaluates, selects, and applies standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria with minor adaptations.
• Investigates technical variables to meet defined objectives.
• Works independently on standard projects with guidance on unusual problems.
• May supervise engineers/technicians and collaborate with other engineers.
• Writes ECNs and creates prototypes under broad direction.
