Job summary

Thermon seeks an Electrical Controls Engineer to join the R&D team in Oakville, ON, leading development of electric heat-generating technologies for diverse markets. You will apply industrial control systems, PLC programming, instrumentation, and electrical engineering principles in a small, agile team.

You’ll design, test, and validate new products, collaborating with Sales, Production, and Quality while advancing decarbonization efforts and Industry 4.0 capabilities in a fast-paced lab setting.

Qualifications

5+ years in Electrical Engineering role.
Experience with PLCs, HMI/SCADA, and instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in cross-functional teams to translate concepts into new products.
Develop control system architecture and electrical designs for multiple products.
Create schematics, P&IDs, documentation, and visualization programming.
Develop and test control algorithms for thermal processes and safety interlocks.
Support remote monitoring integration and data analytics capabilities.
Review technical specs and manage drawings, BOMs, and engineering docs.
